Our Story

Pop Up Cinema Hire has been set up by a group of people who are passionate about the unusual use of AV equipment, especially cinema outdoors and in unusual places.

There are a number of outdoor cinema operators who have the equipment and run their own series of events. We spotted the gap where an event organiser would like to offer an outdoor cinema experience themselves, but don’t have access to the specialist equipment and skills. So if you are in the position where you are organising public events but everything stops when the sun goes down, you’re in the right place. We provide the attraction that makes your event carry on late into the evening, maybe with an expanded or different demographic to your daytime event. Maximising contact time with your existong audience or adding to their numbers.

Places we have been: Avon, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Borders, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Cheshire, Cleveland, Clwyd, Cornwall, Cumbria, Derbyshire, Devon, Dorset, Durham, Dyfed, East Sussex, Essex, Gloucestershire, Greater Manchester, Gwent, Gwynedd, Hampshire, Herefordshire, Hertfordshire, Humberside, Kent, Lancashire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Merseyside, Mid Glamorgan, Norfolk, North Yorkshire, Northamptonshire, Northumberland, Nottinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Powys, Rutland, Shropshire, Somerset, South Glamorgan, South Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Suffolk, Surrey, Tyne and Wear, Warwickshire, West Glamorgan, West Midlands, West Sussex, West Yorkshire, Wiltshire, Worcestershire.

Places we have not been: Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Jersey, Shetland, Orkney, Guernsey, Scilly Isles, Scotland. (Although we would love to be invited to pop up at any of these places).

Pop Up Cinema Hire 2017

We’re not really fans of Business Jargon so when we were asked for a mission statement we didn’t have one. Inventing this one was actually really easy to do because we actually do have a passion for what we do. Getting it down to One sentence… that was a bit trickier. But the bottom line is that all our equipment; projection, control and sound reinforcment, and our great crew are all there to make sure that this one simple task happens.
